My last post, 2013 Reflections, I looked back at what I predicted for myself at the start of the year and reflected on what actually happened. But now I’m left with the question: Where do I go this year? I don’t have any real travel plans set as of right now. However, I know myself better than that to assume I wouldn’t do any travel. So, here’s my 2014 travel plans.
Moving to Kitchener-Waterloo
I’m leaving the big city of Toronto! I’ve known this for a while. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook or know me IRL you would already know this. I’m relocating for a new job in the Kitchener-Waterloo. I’m excited about exploring this new place. It may not be that crazy of a travel plan or exactly make me an expat again, but it’s always exciting to be able to explore a new town.
New Zealand Visa
This is still on my list from last year. Now that I actually have a job, maybe I’ll be successful in saving enough money to get a working visa for New Zealand. Though, with my budgeting and saving techniques, I’m confident I’ll be able to do this!
Let’s Keep Going Canada
I still need to see more of my own country. If you read my 2013 Reflections post, you’d know I really kept my Canadian exploration to the Greater Toronto Area. I’m getting tired of people thinking I’m weird and a “bad Canadian” for not seeing Niagara Falls when it’s a max 2 hour drive. I would also like to get somewhere else in Canada. I’ve only seen parts of Ontario and Quebec. It’s a big country and there is a lot to see.
Let’s just say I’m hoping to get out of Canada at least once this year. I’m not sure where or when but I’m sure there has to be something else. I’m hoping to be able to attend another TBEX wherever and whenever that’s going to be. Maybe take a weekend trip to a easily accessible city in the US. So, even though I’m clueless and have no idea of a direction I’ll go in, there will probably be something else. It’s going to be a surprise for me and you.
Well, I guess that’s everything for my 2014 travel plans. Whether I’m successful in accomplishing everything, we will have to wait and see. Do you have any exciting 2014 travel plans?
