At the beginning of 2014, I decided to film one second of video everyday for the entire year. I feel like people only capture the good time with photos but through doing this little project, I had to record the bad days and the hard times that I would like to forget about. Looking through this video of my year, I’ve realized that those hard times really are counterbalanced with the good and I can pull through even when it doesn’t feel that way… Also, I use YouTube to watch really bad television WAY too often.

That general fun aside, let’s dive into the travel related stuff.
My first post last year was about my 2014 travel plans. So for my 2014 Year in Review, let’s look back and see what on the list actually happened.
Moving to Kitchener-Waterloo
This one was obvious at the very being of the year. I was already solidified to move to KW. It was a nice change from Toronto. I got to experience small city life for the first time. I got to easily explore this new region of Ontario. Highlight: First Impressions: Kitchener-Waterloo.
New Zealand Visa
My main goal of 2014 was to get approved for my New Zealand Working Holiday Visa. Considering I am writing this from Wellington, I clearly accomplished this plan. I’m still working on getting my New Zealand content out on the blog but check out Life in New Zealand: 3 Month Update to see where I’m at with everything.
Keep Going Canada
I didn’t really get to any other new area of Canada. I stuck to Ontario and a quick trip to Montreal. Like I said, I basically had an easy exploration source by having a new home in Kitchener-Waterloo. Highlight: A Spring Day around Downtown Kitchener.
Well, I didn’t end up at TBEX like I wanted. But I did end up in the USA a couple times. I went once to visit my Dad who lives in Michigan and then again on my way to New Zealand. Highlight: Colorado Detour.
